Master of Physiotherapy (MPT)

It is a two-year full time post graduate program in physiotherapy. The masters program offered by the department is affiliated to the Kerala University of Health Sciences. The post graduate program is mainly conducted with the intention of developing human resources, to assume the leadership role in physiotherapy with enhanced patient care. It also formulates educational programmes and undertakes research.

The first two semesters of the course are designed to revise clinical and physiotherapy subjects. Students will be exposed to new areas like research, methodology and statistics. The IIIrd and IVth semesters contain the learning and the practice of the advanced and specialized areas in physiotherapy. The elective specialties, which can be chosen, are;

• MPT in MUSCULOSKELETAL AND SPORTS
• MPT in CARDIORESPIRATORY
• MPT in NEURO

DURATION OF THE COURSE :

Duration of Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) COURSE is 2 years

ELIGIBILITY :

• The candidates should pass BPT Degree from KUHS or from other Universities recognized equivalent there to by KUHS with minimum 50 % marks in aggregate. Usual relaxation of marks shall be permitted for SC/ST/SEBC candidates as per Government guidelines
