Established in 1999, the Co-Operative Institute of Health Sciences (CIHS), Thalassery, is a premier educational institution under the Kerala Co-Operative Hospital Federation Ltd (KCHF). Located in Thalassery, Kannur district, Kerala, CIHS was founded with a visionary goal to deliver high-quality healthcare education and services to the northern region of Malabar.

The institution was conceptualized and brought to life by Sri. Narayanan, a pioneering leader of the co-operative movement in Kerala.

Kerala Co-Operative Hospital Federation Ltd (KCHF)

Kerala Co-Operative Hospital Federation Ltd (KCHF) is the apex body for Co-operative Hospitals in Kerala. Formed by a consortium of primary co-operative hospitals, KCHF was established with the aim of strengthening and unifying the co-operative healthcare sector across the state.

The Board of Directors of KCHF comprises Presidents and Directors of various primary co-operative hospitals, ensuring leadership rooted in grassroots experience. Currently, KCHF operates three institutions in Kerala, dedicated to serving both the co-operative sector and the larger society.
