Physiotherapy is a leading, evidence based health care profession that treats a variety of injuries and illnesses and improves your overall health and wellbeing. Physiotherapy is an independent profession, which deals with prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of various musculoskeletal, neurological, chest and other medical disorders by means of electrotherapy, exercise therapy and manual therapy.

Physiotherapists are an integral part of the rehabilitation team who work in tandem with other health professionals to enhance enablement of an individual during and following disease/dysfunction or injury. As Physiotherapy has got important role to play in different types of medical and surgical cases, the course is structured around subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Biomechanics, Exercise Therapy, Electrotherapy, Orthopedics, Neurology, General Medicine, General Surgery for learning by the students.Over the years the management and the staff of Institute of Paramedical College, Department of Physiotherapy have been working towards a common goal – providing quality education through dedication and commitment.

DURATION OF THE COURSE :

Duration of BPT (Bachelor Of Physiotherapy) COURSE is 4.6 years (8 Semester)

ELIGIBILITY :

• Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or Examinations recognized equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Biology separately and 50% marks in Physics Chemistry and Biology put together.
• Candidates who have passed BSc degree (3 year course) Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany or Biochemistry as main and any one or two of the above subjects as subsidiaries, with 50% marks for main and subsidiaries together, provided they have passed Higher Secondary Examination of Kerala or others recognized as equivalent thereto with Physics, Chemistry & Biology as optional subjects.
• Admission to the Course is also open to foreign nationals who possess the above educational qualifications.
• Candidate should have completed 17 years of age prior to the joining of the Course.
